Why should you become a Referee?
Becoming a referee can be a rewarding experience; especially for young adults as they will grow in confidence, learn to command respect, and practice making decisive decisions.
More importantly, it's rewarding and working with kids is great fun!

Lancaster Youth Soccer, Stow Youth Soccer and Nashoba United Soccer value and support our referees.
An advisor or older ref is available for advice for all refs at U8 and U10 games.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be 14 years of age
- Candidates must complete a Grade 8 course offered by the Massachusetts State Referee Committee
Mass Ref Course Offerings
- Candidates if at all possible should participate in pre and post season meetings.
- Candidates between 12 and 14 years of age are able to participate in the Referee in Training program.
